CALSTAR transports patients to more than 170 medical facilities located throughout California and Northern Nevada. Member Hospitals provide ongoing operational and fiduciary support by serving on CALSTAR’s Board of Directors. Responsibilities include the governance and oversight of policy, fundraising, human resources, budgeting, program planning and development. Affiliate Hospitals provide in-kind support to CALSTAR through clinical training in specialized treatments and procedures, and/or the use of their facilities and equipment.
Dedicated to improving the health of its communities, John Muir Health offers a wide array of advanced inpatient and outpatient treatment services, medical research, community education and outreach programs. The recently rebuilt John Muir Medical Center campus in Walnut Creek features a 35-bed Neonatal ICU, the only Level III neonatal intensive care unit in the county. By complying with national standards for health care quality and safety, John Muir has earned multiple Gold Seals of ApprovalTM from the Joint Commission for services provided to its community.
As the Silicon Valley continues to change and grow, so does Regional Medical Center of San Joseas demonstrated by its recent $300-million hospital expansion. With an employed staff of 1,400 and a medical staff of more than 500 professionals specializing in 21 fields of medicine, dentistry and podiatry, Regional Medical Center offers world-class healthcare to residents throughout the greater San Jose community. Regional’s six Centers of Excellence include Emergency and Trauma, Cardiovascular, Women and Children’s Health, Neurosciences, Cancer Care and Medical/Surgical Services. Regional Medical Center is designated as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, treating nearly 600 stroke patients per year—one of the highest volumes in the county.
Sutter Roseville Medical Center (SRMC) offers a unique blend of sophisticated medical care, tranquil surroundings, and a heritage of community service that spans five decades. SRMC is an acute care medical facility and is a level II American College of Surgeons-verified Trauma Center serving a seven-county region that includes Placer, Yolo, Nevada, Sutter, Yuba, and portions of Sacramento and El Dorado counties. The modern 791-square-foot campus offers acute care for all ages in a healing environment enhanced by a 57-acre, oak-studded landscape. Sutter Roseville Medical Center has a full array of services and programs designed to serve the growing community, including an expanded Rehabilitation Institute dedicated to physical therapy and rehabilitation for those recovering from serious accidents, stokes and other medical conditions.
