GERIATRIC PATHOPHYSIOLOGIC CONDITIONS:
SEPSIS AND ORTHOPEDIC TRAUMA
Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System
611 Abbott Street, Suite 201
Salinas, CA 93901
We will take an in-depth look at two specific pathophysiologic conditions of the geriatric population—Sepsis and Orthopedic Trauma—focusing on the geriatric population’s physiologic differences. Geriatric patients are different. If we begin with this knowledge and specific plans of care, our patients’ pathways are more guided, and we can have a significant effect not only on their survival, but also on returning them home with a quality of life.
